America’s legacy, music and food are at the center of travel in 2022

The year 2022 is only four months away, so we’re starting to think about where we want to travel. The Chamber Travel Club books tours to showcase our own diverse country.
If you’re someone who wants to brush up on your American history, the Heritage of America tour is for you. We will explore our musical roots on America’s Music Cities. The Discover South Dakota adventure will showcase the beauty of South Dakota and allow you to write your own “ode to America”. The distinguished and legendary south will be discovered on the Charleston, Savannah and Jekyll Island tour.
By the time these visits leave, we hope that most of our COVID problems are behind us and that we have achieved collective immunity. The first trips leave in April – in eight months. A lot of good things can happen in eight months! I’m so glad I was vaccinated early because I feel so much safer while traveling.
We have two tours on the east coast that depart in mid-May. This is the perfect time to visit the Atlantic coast as the crowds will be smaller, the weather will be ideal for exploring and the flora will be in bloom. If you’ve ever traveled on a group tour to Collette, you’ll know the hotels are top-notch and the places to dine won’t disappoint. I love tours because pretty much everything is taken care of for you!
The Collette Vacation Heritage of America tour begins April 19. This is the tour for those who want to see and relearn as much as they can about the beginnings of our country. We start in Philadelphia – “The Birthplace of the New Nation”. All of those places that you discovered in your history lessons will be seen here. Other big stops on this tour include two nights in Gettysburg where we can walk the famous battlefield. There’s a night in Charlottesville, Virginia after a day of touring and driving through the legendary Shenandoah Mountains. Two nights are included at Colonial Williamsburg where you will step back in time, followed by two nights in Washington, DC Book now and save $ 250 per person.
Prefer to hear about the southern version of our story? Then you will truly enjoy the Mayflower Charleston, Savannah & Jekyll Island Tour departing April 21. What’s not to love about Charleston! This pedestrianized town is a delight, and we’ll be leaving a day early so we can enjoy the city on our own before the rest of the group arrives. You won’t want to leave this town even after three nights, but you have to travel to the historic waterfront town of Beauford and then to Jekyll Island where two nights will be spent in one of the most historic hotels. from America. The things you will learn here! We spend our last two nights in Savannah. Save $ 100 per person by booking early.
We chose to discover South Dakota from September 16 so we could enjoy the evening patriotic spectacle at Mount Rushmore. We will be based in Rapid City at a hotel and go on tour. You will be so filled with Americana after this tour that you will be singing the praises of America’s National Parks. The scenery is so spectacular that you will wonder why you have waited so long to see this part of our country. Save $ 100 per person if you book early.
Then it’s back to the south for Discover America’s Music Cities which leaves on October 9th. The climate will be cooler, but the music will stay warm! We will spend three wonderful days in New Orleans, the “Jazz Capital of the World”. Then, travel to Memphis for two nights to remember Elvis or learn more about the civil rights movement. We are spending our last two nights at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville and yes we will enjoy an evening at the Grand Ole Opry. Save $ 150 per person by booking early.
