Drake to host music for “Monday Night Football”

Just released from the release of his new album Boy in love certified, Drake brings his musical talents to “Monday Night Football”, TMZ reports. According to the media outlet, which broke the news on Tuesday, September 7, the 6 God will organize the playlist of 10 football games this 2021-2022 season, which begins next Monday (September 13).

Emeka Ofodile, Vice President of Sports Marketing at ESPN, said Drake was the Perfect candidate for the role of music curator as he “sits firmly at the intersection of music and sport”.

According to ESPN, Drizzy will dig both his old classics and recent hits – presumably from his new record album – for the soundtrack of the football series. TMZ writes that other artists deemed “worthy of exposure” by The Boy will also be added to the rotation. Past seasons of “Monday Night Football” featured a musical curation by Diplo and DJ Khaled, which ESPN said was a “big hit.”

Drake fans will recall the Toronto star “hacked” into the sports network last month to promote her sixth studio album, Boy in love certified. As reported by REVOLT, a hooded character, allegedly Drizzy, interrupted a SportsCenter show to announce the album’s release date with a cryptic cardboard sign.

Since his arrival at Masses on Friday (September 3), CLB has been a historic success. The album is on course to have the biggest album launch week of 2021 and is expected to sell between 575,000 and 625,000 album equivalent units in its first week. According to the data in the graph, Boy in love certified is also expected to attract between 650 and 700 million streams by the end of the week. Drake’s first week will also feature between 45,000 and 55,000 albums sold; Complex scriptures.
