Thai singer Phum Viphurit serenades fans at G Music Fest.

Thousands of people gathered over the weekend for fun and exciting activities organized by Globe for its highly anticipated “917 #ExtraGDayEveryday”, the biggest celebration of GDay to date.

Events were held at Circuit Events Ground Makati and Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa City on September 17 or “917 day”, with no adverse events except for apparent attempts to jam mobile signals at both sites.

“Our 917 GDay this year marked the first time we’ve hosted many on-the-ground events, and we’re glad our customers came out to participate. We really wanted to continue the face-to-face events we’ve been missing since the pandemic. We are delighted that our customers have found time to enjoy the festivities,” said Jerome Patalud, Head of Globe Rewards.

GMusic Fest drew thousands of spectators to Circuit Events Ground Makati for a day of great music and fun in experiential booths, bringing home Globe goodies as well as new souvenirs.

Over 6,000 spectators turned out for the half-day event, staying throughout the show to enjoy the lineup of world-class artists that Globe has brought together to delight its valued patrons.

Kathlyn Guinto, a Globe customer for 15 years now, took advantage of GMusic Fest. On Twitter, she reveled in seeing Thai singer Phum Viphurit and the “queens” of Drag Race Philippines.

“It was my first time watching Phum Viphurit play live. Finally! WOW. WOW. WOW… Thanks for bringing them here, Globe!” she said in her message.

G Music Fest also featured K-Pop group bugAboo, whose appearance at G Music Fest was their first live performance in the Philippines, and top Filipino artists such as KAIA, Matthaios, The Juans, Unique Salonga, and I Belong. to the Zoo.

Festival-goers were also transported safely in and out of the venue with free rides on the GET electric buses deployed for the event.

The music festival received positive reviews from audiences when asked what they thought of the event, with the majority saying they enjoyed the musical performances the most, rating the event at 10.

Meanwhile, during the #MagicalGDay event in Sta. Rosa, Globe provided guests with fun rides and exciting booths that also featured partner brands. The day was made even more special with quizzes and raffle prizes.

Globe customers are ready for more GDay treats in September. Players should watch out for G Battle Zone, a Mobile Legends and Valorant tournament that runs until September 24, when the Grand Finals will be held at SM MOA Atrium.

Globe users can also win prizes of up to 1 million pesos along with other exciting weekly goodies in G Chance the Raffle. To join, download and register for the new GlobeOne app, use Globe Rewards points to redeem raffle entries or pay with points at partner ECPay sari sari stores.

Globe will also match reward points redeemed for raffle entries with a donation to the Hapag Movement, an initiative led by Globe along with other institutional partners to help fight involuntary hunger through the use of technology.

Thanks to the Hapag movement, Globe customers can send aid via Globe Rewards, GCash and by credit card on the Globe website. As little as 50 pesos a day provides a meal for the needy.
