IU sparked dating rumors after her latest songs are apparently about her current relationship.

In October, IU began releasing their new music for fans, with “Strawberry Moon” as the first single to follow on from their March album, “Lilac”.

Her new project led her to win more Daesangs (Grands Prix), recently brought home a total of five trophies from the 2021 Melon Music Awards. She won awards for Best Songwriter, Best Solo (Female), Top 10 Bonsang, Album of the Year and for Artist of the Year – the latter two were among the grand prizes.

But recently, fans apparently cracked the code for her new songs and assumed the singer was in a relationship.

Is IU dating anyone?

At Pann Nate, fans flocked and shared their thoughts on the new UI songs. They especially noted that the singer looked inspired and in love as she released more love songs despite the fact that she usually writes music about her life.

“Strawberry Moon” itself tells the story of a girl who is deeply in love. In the music video for the song, IU takes the lead role and expresses her feeling through the color pink.

One fan said, as translated by ToutKpop, “It’s not only her songs that exude sweetness, but even in her interviews she is about someone in love. IU also writes her own songs and her song ‘Strawberry Moon’ is much sweeter than her other songs. “

This supported the initial rumors that came out in March when she also released love songs, including “Flu”.

Unfortunately, multiple media has already dismissed the rumors long before they broke and claimed IU remains single for the time being. Although she is still single, fans have laughed at her ever since the singer’s ultimate crush, BIGBANG’s Taeyang, recently welcomed her first child with wife Min Hyo Rin.

For what it’s worth, IU has been open about his admiration for the singer. She even confessed when they performed her hit song “I Need A Girl” during SBS Hero Girls years ago.
