The Pointe de Palm Jumeirah in Dubai will host its first Korean festival later this month, which is expected to feature a performance by K-pop group Super Junior.
The festival will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily from October 14 to 16, with the concert on October 15.
Super Junior is one of K-pop’s biggest groups, having debuted in 2005 with 12 members. They are now nine members and have released their 11th studio album, The Renaissance, earlier this year.
They are no strangers to the region, having performed a sold-out show in Saudi Arabia in 2019 that was so popular that demand for tickets crashed the country’s servers.
They were also due to perform at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai in 2020, but the concert was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Starting at 6 p.m., the event will also see a K-pop dance performance and fireworks display, which will only be accessible to ticket holders. Customers will also be required to present a valid negative PCR test or complete proof of vaccination.
Tickets are on sale now on Platinumlist.net, and ticket holders can watch the show by reserving a table at one of the West Point Promenade restaurants.
Elsewhere, the festival will offer a Korean village to discover, located at the entrance to La Pointe, under the monorail, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
