Miller Center season kicks off August 6^e with an emerging country artist, Allie Colleen. Allie’s early singles, “Playing at Home” and “It’s not the only hell my mom raised” are on constant rotation on country radio stations across the United States. Talking Heads fans will want to make plans immediately to see”Start making sense”. The Start Making Sense concert will be a 15^e Signature Anniversary Event on Saturday, September 24^e. The Miller Center will host a number of local artists who will perform before the big concert. frog cryone of Berks County’s favorite Americana banks, Country-Rock, will open Start making sense. There will be food trucks, face painting and a carnival-like atmosphere outside in the courtyard adjacent to the Miller Center all afternoon starting at 3 p.m., including live outdoor entertainment. The ghosts of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and living legend Jerry Lee Lewis will come to life on October 6^e with the success of Broadway, “One Night in Memphis” come to the Miller Center Stage. “One Night in Memphis” captures the magical evening at Sun Studios in Memphis when the four iconic artists came together for just one time. Miller Center House Manager Megan Schappell has developed a cost-effective ticket package that will save Miller Center attendees considerable dollars while attending multiple shows. The “Build Your Own Miller Center Series“gonna be a”Buy four, get the fifth show FREE » opportunity for fans of the performing arts. “We want to introduce flexibility to our audience members while encouraging fans to try new shows and new genres.” Schappell proudly states, “There is never a bad show at the Miller Center!

David Sedaris will return to the Miller Center on October 13^e. With a sardonic wit and incisive social criticism, David Sedaris has become one of America’s preeminent humor writers. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers dealing with the human condition today. If you like the gleefully misanthropic stories of David Sedaris, you might think you know what you’re getting into during his live readings. You would be wrong. Seeing him read his own work on stage allows his autobiographical story to reveal a unique personal story that will keep you laughing all night long. Don’t miss this event, tickets are going fast! Contemporary dance sensation, Parsons Dance Companywill be back on October 21^st at the Miller Center after being the first dance performance inside the Miller Center 15 years ago! Parsons Dance is a modern dance company, internationally recognized for creating and performing contemporary American dance of extraordinary artistry that is accessible and enriching for diverse audiences. Tickets go on sale August 12^e.

October 22^n/aDavid Engel will take us to pirate school and wizarding academy. At 1 p.m., embark on an incredibly successful program with “Pirate School!” During “Pirate School!” Kids learn the intricacies of mischief and become “good pirates” cooperating and partying together while having the chance to live out their Golden Age of Buccaneer dreams!

At 4 p.m., the Miller Center will transform into a wizarding academy. Join this wacky witchcraft teacher as he leads the kids through a wacky day of a “Wizard-in-Training” (WIT). During “Wizard Academy!” kids will have their brains, eyes, and reflexes tested with fun challenges and illusions, and spark the primal forces of their imaginations with instruction in potions, wand etiquette, and levitation. Children are encouraged to attend both shows in costume and will go on sale July 22^n/a.

Capitol Comedy is a performance group that uses the winning formula of musical comedy, multimedia animation and political satire to engage audiences in hilarious, insightful and non-partisan entertainment. This new show takes on the Biden administration with songs and sketches poking fun at everything from diversity-focused decision-making to dog training to dumping dollars on the electorate. Capitol Comedy arrives October 28^e and went on sale July 29^e.

Father and son piano due, ryan and ryan will bring holiday cheer with their “Merry & Bright: Songs of Christmas Joy» show on December 9^e. Ryan & Ryan is a proven hit with audiences of all generations. Their inventiveness, contagion, skill and overall joie de vivre make for irresistibly engaging performances. In short, they make music that inspires. Tickets go on sale September 16^e.

The 11th of March^e The weight band will perform original songs as well as classics from The Band. They are led by Jim Weider, a former member of The Band and the Levon Helm Band for 15 years. The weight band was born in 2013 in Levon Helm’s famous Woodstock barn. Weider was inspired by Helm to carry on the musical legacy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band. Tickets go on sale September 23^rd.

Disney’s acclaimed and record-breaking series Winnie the Pooh: the new musical adaptation on stagecreated and directed by Jonathan Rockefeller, will arrive in Reading on March 28, 2023. The popular show for families of all ages will feature Pooh, Christopher Robin and their best friends Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit and Owl (and Tigger too!) in Reading, with performances March 28, 2023. Tickets go on sale July 15^e.

Fan favorite, The Machine will be back on April 21^st! The Machine has built a reputation spanning over 30 years by continuing the musical legacy of Pink Floyd. The New York-based quartet perform a diverse mix of The Floyd’s extensive 16-album repertoire, featuring faithful renditions of popular hits as well as obscure gems.
