“Really proud of this one”

The Weeknd teased their next album, saying they were “really proud” of the upcoming project.
The teaser comes after the Canadian singer signaled the end of his “After Hours” era in May and teased some new music.
During his 2021 Billboard Music Awards appearance, Abel Tesfaye apparently signaled that he was now ending the album’s campaign for last year’s record “After Hoursâ€, noting audiences at one point that ‘he’ would like to thank God that I no longer need to wear this red suit.
Now, in a series of tweets, the singer appears to be suggesting that he finish work on his next album. “We’re getting there,” he tweeted alongside a record emoji, before declaring that he’s “really proud of this one. Wow…”

In another tweet, he clarified that the project he is talking about is “a complete body of work”, making the distinction “just so there is no confusion”.

Earlier this year, The Weeknd teased some new ‘magical’ music he had created during the lockdown.
In a series of tweets, the singer wrote, “Did so much magic in the quarantined small room,” before saying he “now puts it all back together” and calls the new project “so beautiful”.
Since the release of ‘After Hours’ last spring, the singer has performed the Super Bowl halftime show, shared a new remix of ‘Save Your Tears’ with Ariana Grande, and performed at the BRITs and Billboard Music Awards.
Away from music, The Weeknd is currently developing a new HBO series alongside Euphoria creator Sam Levinson.
As Variety reports, the series, currently titled the Idol, follows a pop singer who enters into a romantic relationship with an LA club owner who also runs a secret cult.
