“The last project she released was her single Big Bad City in October 2019,†she says.
“My music has evolved since then. I have learned to trust what I have to say a little more now. I realize that I have a story to tell and that there is someone who is like me, i no longer try to figure out what i think people would like to hear, â€says Inga.
She is inspired by people’s everyday stories.
“Friends and family, sometimes a glass of wine and something random a friend would say in passing could sweat over a song. But I often sing about love, loss, the struggle for your dreams.
Inga is inspired by artists such as Birdy, Emeli Sande, Lana Del Rey, Ringo, Shekhinah, Simphiwe Dana, Bongeziwe Mabandla and many more.
“I listen to all types of music and maybe that’s why it’s hard to find just one genre and stick to it, in my music.”
She has been a recording artist since 2013.
“But I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved music and knew I wanted to sing since I was 15 or 16. It was never about thinking or realizing that I was good at it, I just knew that was what made me feel alive the way I did. a place in the world. I grew up with uncles who loved music, I just used it, so I would say I was self-taught.
She has collaborated with artists like Mobi Dixon, DJ SK and DJ Laylo.
“I would love to collaborate with more singers and songwriters in the future,†says Inga.
Its aim is to reach the ears of the whole world.
“I’m looking for an album and haven’t released as much music as I would like yet. I’ve done a lot of sign writing and just want to stop overthinking and sharing. release of the album, I want to collaborate a little more.
