There are local legends, upstarts and staples performing everywhere over the next four weeks and they cannot be overlooked.

The Future Teens are one of the best indie rock bands currently on the Boston music scene with their pop leanings and honest way of creating songs. Their third album Self Help, released on Triple Crown Records on September 23, is a prime example of their approach while examining mental health.

Florida indie rockers Camp Trash, soulful Chicago singer-songwriter Rat Tally and local emo pop group Cinema Stare will open the show.

October 15 @ Foxwoods Premier Theater

8 p.m. All ages

Known as ‘That Little Ol’ Band From Texas’, ZZ Top are the greatest blues-rock power trio of all time and they’re still going strong despite the death of bassist Dusty Hill last year.

At Hill’s request, his guitar tech Elwood Francis (not pictured) joined guitarist and vocalist Billy Gibbons and drummer Frank Beard, on bass.

The show is a leg of the band’s current tour in support of Raw – the soundtrack of their 2019 documentary released in July.

Since the late 90s, Lucero has stood out for blending country, punk and alternative rock into a cohesive sound. The group, originally from Memphis, recently brought synth and electronics with their eleventh studio album “When you found mewhich was released in January 2021.

Californian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist LA Edwards will kick things off.

For 20 years in New Haven and beyond, Ceschi has put his own spin on the art form, often referred to as “folk rap,” wearing his heart on his sleeve with every lyric, every beat he raps, and every strumming of his guitar. .

He recently released a single titled “We don’t stand a chance” on Squalloscope and Loden which has more of an electronic vibe. This next show has British emo pop artist Brightr, Brooklyn antifolk staple Brook Pridemore and London delta blues singer-songwriter Tim Holehouse joining him on stage.

October 22 @ Ridgefield Gambling House

Tucson-based Calexico has a knack for fusing Tejano, indie rock, country and folk into one sound. Their last album, The Watchtowerwhich was released in April, includes elements of Cuban music that broaden the band’s artistic focus.

For the next show, Montreal singer-songwriter Ada Lea will kick off the evening.
